Last night was AN EPIC night! The incomparable Toni Braxton and talented Babyface did it again with an amazing performance on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno. They performed their newest single, "Hurt You". The song is based on a romantic relationship gone wrong, fueled by an affair. The chemistry these two have on stage is UNDENIABLY MAGICAL! I felt as though I was watching a scene from a classic soap opera. They both played out the raw emotions of the lyrics, which in turn, made for a PERFECT performance. Their voices are like BUTTA!! It's been almost 20 years, but NEITHER of these entertainers have missed a BEAT! Toni was STUNNING in a cream and gold, shimmering dress (still searching for the designer) and Giuseppe Zanotti gold and black heels. (Take notes ladies!! You don't have to TWERK to WERK). She also sported a silver BLINGING manicure with Azature (a.k.a Black Diamond King) diamond infused nail polish! Kenny "Babyface" was as DAPPER as ever in an all black suit and sunglasses! Yeah, he's THAT cool! lol
If you haven't downloaded this song yet PLEASE DO SO HERE!! It's very reminiscent of Toni's (and Babyface's) classic albums. And to think, she almost gave up singing! I'm a believer in what's MEANT for you, IS MEANT to be! I'm so very proud of her! Not only as an entertainer, but a MOTHER, a SISTER, a DAUGHTER, a PHILANTHROPIST, and a SURVIVOR! She's EVERYTHING!
