IT'S BETSYMANIA

Betsey Johnson is one of my FAVORITE designers. Mainly because she uses bright colors, feminine fabrics, and FUN, ECLECTIC patterns. So, when I came across an article on GLAMOUR.COM...I HAD TO create this post. Here are a few of Betsey's pieces from a FALL 2012 fashion show. I love all the pieces...I'd just wear them a little differently. Let me know what you think!

 This faux fur pink shaggy coat I really don't like. Don't get me wrong now! I'd WEAR it but I would NOT BUY it! I'm sure it would look decent for a cocktail party, paired with a silk emerald green dress. The pink coat, silver boots, and psychedelic dress is even a little too much for me! It kinda reminds me of the pink monster who played the drums on The Muppet Show.

                           I'd wear it. I actually LOVE this dress. Being that it's FREEZING here in Atlanta...
                        I'd add a soft flowy nude vintage blouse with blouson sleeves and a pussybow tie at
                                                               the neck....A very LARGE bow!

 

LOVE the color, LOVE the tights, LOVE the cross stitch /corset pattern...

HATE the outfttty look.
I'd wear this...but NEVER as a suit.

Beyonce's Back: Part Deux RELOADED

Mama Bey hits the scene ONCE AGAIN! I had a flashback to The 50's. She looked like an Old Hollywood Glamor Starlet/ Pin Up girl! The RAVISHING entertainer wore a Monique Lhuillier sequin dress with sheer neckline with swiss dots, Gucci shoes, a Chanel purse, and Lorraine Schwartz jewelry.I'm wondering if that purse doubles as a hand muff?? Ty Hunter (Beyonce's stylist and BFF) outdid himself with this look!

     Those were the words that danced in my head as I scrolled through these photos.If you know me, you know that I ADORE Beyonce and Solange!  INTRODUCING MAMA BEY!!!! Beyonce was spotted out yesterday evening attending her husband's concert at Brooklyn's Carnegie Hall. This is the 1st time she's been seen since giving birth to she and Jay-Z's 1st daughter, Blue Ivy Carter. I've been WAITING to see her come back with a VENGEANCE; and I MUST say...SHE NEVER DISAPPOINTS!

    Mrs. Carter wore a sizzling, red, HAUTE Alice Temperly dress with ruching down the front; a sequined caramel Swarovski crystal-embellished Alexander McQueen Jaw Skull box clutch, and embellished, embroidered KUTCH-Y Christian Louboutin Pumps of Art (kinda reminds me of Henna). Beyonce accessorized with a 2-finger gold ring, gold bracelet and in honor of her brand new baby girl...a cobalt BLUE colored ring with MATCHING MANICURE!Her signature blonde hair was sleekly styled with a side-part, and side-swept bangs.Her makeup was VERY natural..and STUNNING! Her entire ensemble was like a beautiful love song! PERFECT! The best part about it...she looks SOOO HAPPY!! I'm so happy for them and wish them NOTHING BUT THE BEST!! :-)

 

 

DEALS OF THE DAY

I ran into Ross on Friday to purchase a gift for my future mother-in-law's 68th birthday....and LOW AND BEHOLD..... I found the SAME PAIR of beige patent leather BCBG MAX AZRIA HEELS that I purchased about 4 months ago. Y'all know I have a story on just about EVERYTHING. So, here goes...the story behind these shoes is that I purchased these EXACT same shoes 4 months ago, from Ross, for $13.99! I LOVED them and had to have them for that price. Anywho, I wear size 8.5 in shoes, the shoes I bought were a 9. I got home and ONE SHOE WAS WAAAAY SMALLER THAN THE OTHER. Now, it's no secret that MAJORITY of  the merchandise in Ross, Marshall's, and TJMaxx is IRREGULAR; but this was actually my 1st time having a problem like this. ON FRIDAY... I find the SAME SHOES, in a larger size and for ONLY $4.99!! They fit PERFECTLY...though the size is WAYYY OFF. They are similar to these BCBG MAX AZRIA ELASTIC CROSS SANDALS shoes retail at $215.00 (mine are patent leather all over, though I like the gold elastic better)! So, $5 for these were an ABSOLUTE STEAL! IRREGULAR OR NOT! lol

99 CENTS DAY AT LAST CHANCE THRIFT STORE

Hi Vixens and Daddies! Yesterday was .99 day at one of my favorite thrift stores here in Decatur. I went into the store looking for vintage jeans...and vintage jeans ONLY! So, OF COURSE when I got there..there were other things that caught my eye. I made a pact with myself that I would only spend $5! lol BUT LOW AND BEHOLD I find a pair of Dolce & Gabbanna velour pants for $5.99! I was SO TEMPTED TO BUY THEM! Luckily, I kept the promise. Here are a few things I purchased. The headpiece



HEADPIECE:
I'm wearing is an original custom made piece by Sunni Rawls of RubySapphire&Jaide. Contact her with your vision...and she'll give it LIFE! I'm SOOO happy with it! I have other RS&J head gear....but this is my ALL TIME FAVORITE! I WANTED TO SLEEP IN IT! lol

MAKEUP:
Yesterday I had the PLEASURE of having my makeup professionally done by SHALAWN WILLIS' (of Lamik Cosmetics)  protégé JAZMIN REED. I was in AWE with the skillful art they produced. I thought I knew a little about makeup...but they proved me WRONG! These women possess an absolute GIFT! If you need to book personal make-up artists...THESE ARE THE WOMEN TO SEE! Not only were they professional, but they were fun, friendly, and SUPER SWEET! Thank you so much ladies for a BEAUTIFUL EXPERIENCE! I will DEFINITELY be taking a class and purchasing some Lamik Cosmetics soon! :-)

P.S I know you're gonna notice the socks.lol I had these socks on to keep from turning the heat on.lo My feet are always cold.So, I just tried to work them into the outfits.lol
